Jet.AI Inc., a company pivoting from aviation software and services into data centers, has provided more details on a planned campus in Canada.

In June, the firm announced a partnership with Canadian GPU cloud provider Consensus Core Technologies to develop a large campus in “Midwestern Canada,” but provided few details.

The company last week announced that it aims to develop a 350-acre site 10 miles south of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Images provided show the site is on the east side of Provisional Trunk Highway 59, bounded by Provincial Rd 405 to the south, Arnould Road to the east, and Mondor Road to the north. It is located in Île-des-Chênes, an unincorporated community within the Rural Municipality of Ritchot.

“[The site] sits adjacent to an electrical substation, a regional natural-gas substation, high-speed fiber routes, and the Riel Converter Substation, which supplies 2,000MW of hydroelectric power through the Bipole III HVDC line,” Jet.AI said. “A 115-kV transmission corridor runs directly overhead, offering unusual near-term access to scalable and cost-efficient power.”

Full details of the planned build-out haven't been shared.

"As AI compute demand accelerates, energy-advantaged sites like this are becoming increasingly difficult to secure," said Mike Winston, Founder and CEO of Jet.AI. "The combination of power, redundancy, and buildable scale here is extremely hard to replicate."

At the time of the original announcement, the companies said the Midwestern project had a 2MW live data center and were targeting an initial capacity of 100MW, before eventually expanding to 500MW. A recent earnings report suggested the site will feature six natural gas turbines.

"This site aligns with the long-term compute and energy profile the industry is moving toward," said Wayne Lloyd, CEO of Consensus Core Technologies Inc. "It offers the reliability, connectivity, and acreage required for multi-phase hyperscale deployment."

Founded in 2018, Jet.AI previously developed solutions for the aviation industry, including booking apps and B2B operator platforms. It also offered jet aircraft fractions [akin to a timeshare on private aircraft], on-fleet charter, management, and buyer's brokerage.

Earlier this year, the company said it was selling its aviation business and pivoting to developing data centers – with a 50MW development planned on a 120-acre site in Las Vegas, Nevada. Company founder Winston has said that the site could reach 1GW at full build-out.

Consensus Core currently offers services from a Cologix data center (MTL10) in Montreal, Canada, offering access to Nvidia H100 GPUs. The company claims to have access to 40+ data centers across 12 key markets across North America; Cologix operates around 40 data centers in a dozen markets across North America, suggesting a partnership.

Jet.AI and Consensus Core first announced plans to form a joint venture in late April. As well as the Midwestern site, the companies are targeting a second Canadian development, known as the Maritime project. The second site reportedly has 40MW of capacity immediately available, 100MW in the near term, and up to 1GW long term. The company is looking to procure energy from a nearby wind farm.
