Securenet Systems, provider of streaming services for terrestrial and internet radio, has launched a data center in Amsterdam. This is the company's fourth data center globally and second in Europe.

The Deerfield Beach, Florida-based company has increased bandwidth capacity, and the new site gives it the ability to provide faster services to European, Middle Eastern and North African markets though an additional 10Gbps fiber backbone.

Skye Davitkov, director of new media at Securenet, said additional data center locations meant consistent response times for listeners, particularly on their mobile devices. “The expansion also helps us provide better response times for international ad partners as well, giving us an edge in the global advertising marketplace.

“Fast ad delivery and high bit-rate encoding are paramount for a globally ubiquitous and rich-quality listening experience, and having huge headroom in our bandwidth is essential to that end.”

Securenet operates multiple high-speed networks and offers streaming platforms for radio.

It serves radio stations in more than 40 countries and operates data centers on east and west coasts of the US. Its other European data center is in France.
