Data center designer and operator fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty (1547) has added a new suite to its facility in Orangeburg, New York.
The 5,000 sq ft space has up to 1MW of power available and supports up to 15kW density per cabinet. It is located just 22 miles from Manhattan, the heart of the American financial industry.
Gets a tax break
“The addition of our new suite allows for customers to choose between multiple levels of redundancy under one roof, both 2N and N+1,” Robert DeVita, Chief Sales Officer at 1547, said.
“1547 provides the only avenue for small and large customers to take advantage of our preapproved tax abatements, and our new datacenter suite ensures those customers will have additional capacity to grow their environments”
The company worked with the Rockland County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) to get a sales tax abatement for new hardware installed for its data center and colocation customers, with savings totalling 8.35 percent of all qualified capital purchases.
“Orangeburg is an ideal location for companies looking for data center options outside of Manhattan,” Sumner Putnam, senior managing director of commercial real estate service Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, said.
“The work 1547 has done with Rockland County to secure a number of tax savings, makes it an obvious choice for data center and colocation requirements.”
Founded in 2011, 1547 has 500,000 sq ft of data center space under management across Orangeburg, NY, Chicago, IL, Cheyenne, WY and Kapolei, HI.
