Several counties in Alabama suffered a cellular outage on Monday afternoon after a fiber line was cut.

As reported by WBRC News, Cullman, Blount, Winston, and Limestone counties all experienced major outages, according to the Cullman County Emergency Management Agency (EMA).

The outages reportedly affected AT&T, its first-responder unit FirstNet, and T-Mobile networks across the counties.

In a Facebook post, several Cricket Wireless customers also reported network issues. A few users reported that their networks were down for around three hours.

In an update to the EMA's post, it noted that the cause of the outage was due to a fiber line cut.

Further details around where the cut took place were not revealed, nor is the full extent of the outages.

The EMA added that services have been restored to some of those affected.
