Data center colocation and interconnection service provider Equinix has made a deal with Bloomberg, whereby the provider of financial data, news and analytics will host its data services infrastructure in Equinix data centers in London and New York, offering both companies’ existing and future customers direct access to a variety of Bloomberg’s real-time data feeds and connectivity to Bloomberg Tradebook.
Tradebook is the financial company’s agency that provides trading solutions to institutional traders, including direct market access and trading analytics and algorithms.
General Manager for Equinix Global Financial Services John Knuff said in a statement the deal would benefit Equinix’ "financial services ecosystem" by increasing its value, while Bloomberg’s products would leverage the data center provider’s global reach in key financial markets.
"Together, Equinix and Bloomberg deliver a solution that addresses the growing need among global financial markets to securely connect to multiple partners simultaneously," Knuff said.
Equinix operates 90 own and partner data centers across 35 metro areas in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The company’s interconnect business is supported by more than 595 network service providers that host infrastructure in its facilities around the world.
