Emerson is shipping its the Liebert GXT3 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system in 5-10kVA models into the EMEA market.

The on-line double conversion Liebert UPS system, which is an extension of the existing Liebert GXT3 product line, enables IT managers to pack higher power capacities into smaller spaces while maintaining best-in-class availability, the company says. 

it can be installed in a rack or tower configuration, with a rotating LED display panel that adjusts accordingly. It has replaceable, hot-swappable internal batteries that provide three or more minutes of runtime at full load, with higher backup time available at typical loading conditions. 

The 5kVA and 6kVA models require 5U of space, while the 10kVA model require 6U of space. Optional battery cabinets, adding 3U to 4U of rack space, provide additional runtime via the plug-and-play connections on the rear panel of the UPS. 

"The implementation of new technologies has led to an even higher demand on system availability and reliability, creating a need for higher density power protection systems," said Stefano Mozzato, Marketing Director Liebert EMEA "Particularly in smaller data centers or network closets, space is at a premium. The Liebert GXT3 optimizes space with an extremely small cabinet for the provided kVA. 

The high output power factors of 0.8 for 5-6kVA models and 0.9 for 10kVA, as well as a wide voltage window, support the critical load and extend system availability."

Web monitoring is provided through the Liebert IntelliSlot Web Card, the Liebert GXT3 provides simple network management protocol (SNMP) for ongoing Web-based monitoring and control of the system.
