Emerson Network Power has introduced 480-volt and 600-volt input configurations for its Liebert APM row-based, modular uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system.
The company also announced that all models of the UPS are now compliant with the Federal Trade Agreement Act (TAA) and that UL 924 certified models are available to support emergency lighting requirements.
The Liebert APM is a transformer-free, on-line UPS that scales capacity quickly with the addition of internal FlexPower modular assemblies. They add capacity or redundancy in 15 kW increments, up to 45kW or 90kW within a single cabinet without powering down connected equipment.
The new input voltage capabilities are available on both 45kW and 90 kW UPS configurations.
Commenting on the announcement, David Sonner, VP of power marketing for Emerson in North America, said, “The new input voltage configurations allow more applications to benefit from this flexible system. And these higher input voltages are accomplished without additional floor space in the 90 kW system.”
Certain models of the Liebert APM are compliant with UL 924, meeting a variety of standards, including providing 90 minutes of backup time to support emergency lighting and ensuring the manually operated interface is protected from accidental operation. The TAA meets requirements for most US federal government procurements and contracts and is a requirement for any organizations receiving federal dollars.
The Liebert APM is available in two configurations. The 90 kW frame uses matching external battery cabinets for battery run time, and allows for 90kW of capacity, or 75 kW of capacity plus 15kW of redundancy.
The 45 kW frame allows for 45kW of capacity, or 30kW of capacity plus 15 kW of redundancy, and includes internal batteries with optional external battery cabinet for additional run time.
