EdgeCore has filed to expand its campus in Louisa County, Virginia.
Via EDI Louisa 1, LLC, EdgeCore has filed an application with the US Army Corps of Engineers for Phase II of its data center campus in Louisa County.
Located on 187 acres west of Shannon Hill Road (SR 605) and east of Parrish Road (SR 683). This phase will include three data center buildings and on-site substations.
The development would impact 4.20 acres of non-tidal wetlands and more than 6,300 feet (1,920 meters) of stream channels.
Louisa County is located northwest of Richmond. EdgeCore first announced plans to develop in the county, within the Shannon Hill Regional Business Park, in June 2025.
Spanning 697 acres, the company has said the campus will total 1.1GW across 3.1 million sq ft (287,999 sqm) of space and six buildings.
Launched in 2018, EdgeCore was acquired by Partners Group in 2022 with plans to invest up to $1.2 billion to fund the acquisition and build-out of existing and future data center sites, and has been on a rapid expansion spree.
The company currently operates facilities in Silicon Valley and Greater Phoenix. Its facility in Reno, Nevada, is set to be delivered in 2026.
EdgeCore is also developing multiple sites in Virginia. The company has additional plans for a 216MW site in Culpeper County and has developed several buildings in Sterling, Loudoun County.
