Germany's E-shelter has submitted plans to transform a beleaguered tobacco machinery firm into a datacenter park in a £17.5 million project.
The planning application put before Wycombe District Council, includes the construction of four datacenter buildings, together with an electricity sub-station, security fence, gates and provision of 150 car parking spaces.
Demolition of the western side of the Molins premises in Saunderton is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2009, with construction on the 370, 403 square meter site, due to be completed in late 2012.
The existing office building and 'Ballroom' building fronting Haw Lane will be retained for administration and security purposes.
