Data center provider CoreLink has hired a new executive, who will leave the executive team of the company's competitor Terremark. Michael Duckett will leave his role of SVP of operations at Terremark and join his new company as its president and chief operating officer.

Corelink operates data centers in Phoenix, Ariz., Seattle, Wash., and Chicago.
Prior to joining Terremark, Duckett headed telecommunications and network operations for Florida Power and Light, a US energy company.
