Wholesale data center provider Digital Realty Trust has closed the sale of common stock it announced last week ÔÇô proceeds from which it would use to finance the acquisition of a five-property data center portfolio managed by 365 Main ÔÇô having sold the entire six million shares and an additional 900,000 shares reserved for underwriters' overallotment option.

Priced at $57 per share, net proceeds from the sale brought the company about $377.1m, after underwriting discounts, commissions and estimated offering expenses. The company's stock was valued at $60.63 per share at the close of the stock market on Wednesday, up 1.2 percent from the previous day.

The proceeds will finance a portion of DRT's $725m acquisition of the 365 Main portfolio from its former owner Rockwood Capital. The acquisition adds 919,000 sq ft of space, consisting data centers and undeveloped property in San Francisco, El Segundo and Oakland, Calif., Chandler, Ariz., and Chantilly, Va.

In addition to the stock sale, the company plans to fund the transaction using available cash and its revolving credit facility.
