DHL International has announced it is to expand its operations in the Asia-Pacific by enlarging its regional IT services data center in Malaysia's Cyberjaya.
The 50 per cent expansion is part of a wider commitment to the development of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC Malaysia).
According to the company, the data-center will be equipped with state-of-the-art features with 70 per cent more rack space and is expected to be ready in five years.
Cyberjaya is now 10 years-old and has been designed to make Malaysia a premier hub for information and communication technology (ICT). A fully integrated development, at the heart of the development is the 2,834ha (7,000-acre) Cyberjaya Flagship Zone (CFZ), largely seen as the nucleus of the Malaysian ICT initiative developed by Setia Haruman Sdn Bhd (SHSB), the master developer for Cyberjaya. The working population comprises more than 18,000 workers in 28 multinational companies, including Shell, DHL, Unisys, Satyam, Dell and Monster Inc.
