Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu - one of the so-called Big Four professional service firms and the US’ sixth largest private organization - has purchased cloud consulting firm Day1 solutions. The company states that this will allow it to help customers transfer their business operations to the cloud.
In addition to acquiring Day1, Deloitte plans to hire 3,000 engineers and will be opening three new cloud studios in Orlando, New York and Washington, DC. Deloitte already has 44 digital studios worldwide.
Day1 is a North Virginia consulting company that provides systems integration and managed services and sells value-added AWS cloud technologies, with experience in health care and government contracting.
Ranjit Bawa, Deloitte principal for the company’s technology strategy and architecture practice stated that “these strategic investments help strengthen Deloitte’s cloud-based solutions by providing clients with a full spectrum of digital, analytics and enterprise cloud services—that ultimately power business agility and growth in a cloud-driven world.”
