Intellifiber Networks connected its fiber network to DuPont Fabros Technology's Ashburn corporate campus in Virginia offering layer 2 and 3 services to the REIT's clients.

Bill Cook, vice president of service delivery, Intellifiber Networks, said: "When we experienced delays with another provider who was to deliver last-mile connectivity into the facility, Intellifiber pulled in its own fiber and lit the facility, connecting the campus almost a year ahead of schedule."

The DFT Ashburn campus currently consists of four facilities totaling approximately 400,000 square feet of raised floor space and 78 megawatts of critical load under management.

Intellifiber's fiber connection allows customers to route diversely from other carriers, both in and out of the facility, and across the entire Intellifiber network, including major carrier hubs in Chicago, Washington DC, New York and Philadelphia.

Intellifiber owns and operates a fiber network spanning 17,000 route miles
