DCProfessional Development, the training and certification arm of the DatacenterDynamics group of companies, has become a sole training delivery partner in the United States for the Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP) qualification.

 

The Data Center Energy Practitioner qualification is part of the US Department of Energy’s (DoE) Save Energy Now program. Recently introduced, the program is expected to become widely adopted as a process for evaluating energy status and efficiency opportunities in the data center.

 

Greg Sherry, General Manager of DCProfessional Development’s global program, said a select team of expert trainers will now work with data center industry members in the US, Commonwealth and Territories on training for the qualification, ensuring a consistency of approach and high-level repeatability and credibility of recommendations.

 

"We are proud to announce that DCProfessional Development has been selected as the sole training delivery partner for the DCEP program in the US," Sherry said. "It recognizes the hard work our training team has put into understanding the educational needs of data center professionals, with an emphasis on creating a career progression framework that will eventual work globally."

 

The course teaches key skills in the area of design, operation, diagnostics and measurement equipment techniques and data collection.
