Viriginia’s Loudoun County is the epicenter of the world’s data center market. But the availability of space and power is becoming increasingly limited.

While a number of developers are looking south to the likes of Prince William County, Quantum Loophole is aiming to lure companies north across the Potomac River into Maryland.

The company's maiden 2,100-acre campus in Frederick County, which DCD visited last year, aims to offer a gigawatt-scale data center park able to host hyperscalers in a massive ‘master planned’ campus on the site of a former smelting works.

In this latest edition of the DCD>Zero Downtime podcast, we talk to Quantum Loophole CEO Josh Snowhorn about the campus, its history and development, and the company’s future plans around the US.
