Data Clean Corporation has acquired Texas-based critical environment cleaning company Sealco LLC.
This is Data Clean's second acquisition since it was bought by Angeles Equity Partners in November 2022, and extends its presence into the Southeast of the US. Terms of the deal were not shared.
Sealco is headquartered in Richardson, Texas, and has been providing cleaning services to critical environments - including data centers - since 1984. It offers decontamination and airflow management services for hyperscalers, enterprise data centers, and colocation facilities.
Data Clean will combine Sealco's people processes and technology with its own.
“Sealco is arguably one of the most experienced domestic specialty contamination control providers and has long maintained an industry-leading presence in the strategically important Southeast data center market,” said Frank Spelman, managing director at Angeles Equity Partners.
”As data centers continue to scale, and their complexity increases, the need for a sophisticated, critical contamination provider with a national presence is expected to increase.”
Data Clean was founded in 1979 and offers specialized facility maintenance services. The company is based in Illinois but also has branches in Canada, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and the UAE. The company lists Meta, Microsoft, Apple, Google, and NASA as among its customers.
The company also acquired SML Enterprises in June 2023, another critical environment cleaning business serving data centers in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Angeles Equity Partners is a lower middle-market private equity investment firm that focuses on underperforming industrial businesses.
