Terremark Worldwide Inc. has begun construction on the first of a potential five data centers in Culpeper Country, Virginia.
The new facility will be 50,000 square feet, and based on demand the company expects to build four more. Each additional center will be 100,000 square feet for a total of 450,000 square feet.
The company reports that Construction has been driven by the need to satisfy the security and geographic requirements that federal agencies and government contractors have for data centers.
