IT outsourcing company CSC said it is considering building a new data center Perth, Australia, to support a local rollout of its BizCloud solutions package.
According to a report by iTNews, CSC Vice President for Cloud Services Siki Giunta said cloud services were growing in demand in Western Australia as a result of the state’s mining boom.
CSC already has a data center in Perth but it will require more capacity if it is to offer BizCloud services in the state. BizCloud lets companies build an operational cloud system in ten weeks, according to CSC.
Giunta did not rule out an upgrade or expansion of its current facility, or it could end up leasing space from another Tier III data center provider.
