Cologix, the North American data center provider, has just announced that it has acquired 2.7 acres of land in Columbus, Ohio contiguous to its existing 5 acre data center campus at 555 Scherers Court.

The company will expand this site to create a campus supporting carrier neutral, high-density colocation and enterprise-grade data center demand in Ohio.  This land acquisition reflects the strong demand for data center services in the Ohio market and Cologix’s commitment to invest in order to stay ahead of their customers expansion needs.

Cologix’s current Columbus presence includes Ohio’s 32,000 square foot facility within an 86,000 SQF wholly owned, purpose built critical infrastructure building.

Grant van Rooyen, President and Chief Executive Officer, Cologix said: “We are proud to support a growing roster of sophisticated customers in Columbus who validate the local economy’s vibrancy and its attractiveness to enterprises as a natural location for a highly resilient enterprise-grade data center services and disaster recovery facility.”

The location has over 30 networks that intersect on site and has access to 30MW of utility power.
