Southern Californian fiber company Cityside Fiber has announced it will offer fiber Internet services in Laguna Hills as soon as next month.

Orange County-based Cityside, which provides full fiber services, noted that Laguna Hills will be the seventh city to receive its fiber offering.

Cityside confirmed that construction is already underway, with the first customers set to come online as early as December of this year.

It builds on previous deployments throughout South Orange County cities, including Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Dana Point, and Irvine.

“At Cityside Fiber, we take a customer-first approach, and we’re looking forward to delivering a faster, more reliable Internet option to residents and businesses across the Laguna Hills community," said Rod Hanson, CEO of Cityside Fiber.

Founded in 2021, Cityside Fiber offers 1Gbps, 2Gbps, and 5Gbps, 100 percent fiber-optic Internet packages. The company provides services for both consumer and business customers.

The US fiber market is currently heating up as telcos look to move on from legacy networks such as copper.

Even the 'Big 3' US carriers; AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile have been pushing hard in ramping up their respective fiber rollouts across the country.
