Cisco and EMC have teamed up to offer technical education for enterprise IT professionals in modern systems. The companies will offer training and certification for architecting, building and transforming IT architectures, adopting cloud computing and using Big Data and data science.
Jeanne Beliveau-Dunn, VP and general manager of learning at Cisco, said today’s data center consisted of heterogeneous technologies, and cloud was blurring the lines between technology silos.
“IT organizations must cultivate new cloud architecture skills, understand how to use big data and maintain deep domain expertise with a renewed understanding of virtualization and technology convergence,” she said.
In addition to Cisco and EMC curricula, courses will include curriculum from VMware. The combined curriculum will include things like cloud architecture, system administration, storage, backup and recovery, data center networking, data center network design, systems management and data science.
Courses became available earlier this week directly from Cisco or EMC.
