In July, Cenicola-Helvin Enterprises, an Internet information resource company successfully moved into a new self-owned and operated data center facility on Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas.
The new facility provides reliable and secure 24x7 Web site hosting services, multiple Internet service providers, and a centralized uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system, along with a 100kW natural backup gas generator that will provide uninterrupted power to server equipment and dedicated air conditioning in the event of a prolonged power outage. All server equipment is housed in a secure vault-like area with continuous monitoring via comprehensive security systems and is equipped with a fire suppression system.
With these capabilities in place, Cenicola-Helvin Enterprises is now offering new ways to help companies expand their business. Dedicated managed Web site hosting service is now available for companies that have outgrown shared hosting and need added security without the need for additional manpower. A new "smart" email service allows customers to host their own email, but with the added benefit of having all email scanned for viruses and having up to 80% of spam eliminated before it reaches their own servers. This service also doubles as an incoming email backup solution in case a customer's email server goes down in which it will queue mail for later delivery when their server comes back online.
Mark Cenicola, president & CEO commented: "Moving over 400 Web sites to a new facility and experiencing less than a few hours of scheduled downtime was an incredible feat."
