After two environmental impact reports into the proposed $1 billion Tuggeranong data center in Canberra, Australia, found that no long term environmental damage was likely, the backers said they may sue for $10 million should the project be moved.
ABC news in Australia reported that ActewAGL and Technical Real Estate are part of a consortium planning to build the data center would seek compensation if the data center is moved.
Local Green and Liberal politicians remain opposed the data center.
