Canadian IT solutions provider Uniserve Communications Corporation is developing a new data center in Vancouver adjacent to its existing facility. The firm has also secured a new customer set to host GPU hardware in its facilities.

Founded in 1988, Uniserve offers IT services, including data center solutions, colocation, cloud, and business Internet.

The company said this year that its data center expansion plans are part of a multi-year strategy to “evolve from a traditional service provider into a vertically integrated digital infrastructure platform purpose-built for Canadian businesses.”

Its existing VAN-1 site is located at 333 Terminal Avenue in Vancouver. Each floor of the eight-story multi-tenant office building spans 20,000 sq ft (1,858 sqm), though only a portion of the building is data center space.

The company first announced plans to expand its existing data center footprint in September 2025. At the time, Uniserve said it aims to establish a 2MW data center in Vancouver to "further service its existing customer base and increase its ability to service a growing AI market."

It then subsequently announced it has entered into a lease with 369 Terminal Holdings Ltd. to develop a data center next door.

Located at 369 Terminal Avenue in Vancouver, the neighboring VAN-2 is set to span approximately 10,000 square feet (929 sqm) and be designed to support enterprise computing, cloud infrastructure, colocation and AI-related workloads. The eight-story multi-tenant office building totals around 160,000 sq ft (14,864 sqm).

The company is targeting an initial operating capacity of 1MW in Q4 2026, with an additional megawatt available for future expansion. The site will be able to support up to 30kW per rack.

Uniserve has also previously announced that BC Hydro has committed to upgrade the facility’s distribution infrastructure to provide up to 3MW of utility power by 2028

Gautam Lohia, Uniserve CEO, said: "VAN-2 represents another important step in building Uniserve's Canadian sovereign digital infrastructure platform. Our focus is on executing a disciplined expansion strategy that combines infrastructure, technical expertise, and integrated services to meet evolving enterprise and AI computing requirements. We believe this approach positions Uniserve to build long-term customer relationships, grow recurring revenue, and create sustainable shareholder value."

Uniserve is now pitching itself as a sovereign Canadian digital infrastructure platform providing managed IT services, cybersecurity, AI services, cloud solutions, and data center infrastructure to customers across Canada.

The company last month announced an enterprise client for AI compute services using two Nvidia B300 GPU-based servers to be deployed at Uniserve's Vancouver data center. The five-year agreement is set to total US$3.15m. Equipment delivery, installation, and service activation are expected to occur before year-end.
