The company said the £2 million deal allows it to expand services in one of the key locations in the UK data center market.
The location is important for C4L because of its network connectivity. It has access to many national and international telecom networks, including tinet and NTT, which C4L leverages to provide transit services to its clients.
"TelecityGroup Meridian Gate is located at the heart of the digital economy," C4L Managing Director Matt Hawkins said in a statement.
"Our presence in the data center ensures we can provice extremely low latency IP transit services, crucial for our customers that require the best possible Internet connectivity."
C4L has been using TelecityGroup since 2001. "We are experiencing continually strong demand at Meridian Gate so it is really important to have the opportunity to continue our strong relationship with the Group."
Besides transit, C4L uses the facility to provide colocation space, interconnects, storage and virtualization services.
TelecityGroup has 23 data centers in cities around Europe, including Manchester, Dublin, Paris, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Milan, according to the provider's Web site.
All facilities are carrier neutral.
