French IT hardware vendor Bull rolled out converged infrastructure solutions, Bull BNEX, Wednesday. The hardware stack includes the company's bullion servers, NetApp storage arrays and Brocade interconnect technology.

The solution is available with VMware virtualization. The company is pitching the infrastructure for private cloud, desktop virtualization and SAP application virtualization deployments.

Thomas Ehrlich, an EMEA VP for NetApp, said, “NetApp and Bull experts are bringing to market and to our customers a unique value proposition with the converged infrastructures segment with Bull BNEX. We look forward to continuing this partnership for the benefit of our customers.”

The bullion is a 16-socket x86 server, and the storage piece is NetApp's FAS 3200. The Brocade solution offered as part of the stack is in the San Jose company's VDX line, which includes the San Jose, California-based vendor's VCS Fabric Technology for interconnecting servers via Ethernet.

Bull and NetApp have been partners since 2005. The French company integrates NetApp technology in its storage infrastructure solutions.
