The bank has struck a deal with a supplier to use passive tags.
It said it expects suppliers such as HP and IBM will start shipping data center products with tags already attached from next year.
William Conroy, head of Bank of America's enterprise architecture division told RFID Journal that it is working with the Financial Services Technology Consortium's RFID special interest group to develop an asset tracking standard. Financial services is looking to take a lead and establish standards for RFID deployment
