Baltic Data Center, the leading datacenter and information systems management services provider in the Baltic states, has signed a three-year contract with company Vilniaus Duona, one of the oldest and the largest bakery in Lithuania, for the maintenance and support of servers and other IT infrastructure.
Under the contract, Baltic Data Center, a company belonging to TEO LT, AB Group, will provide server collocation and maintenance services, while TEO will ensure secure and reliable communication between the head office of Vilniaus Duona, three bakeries located in Vilnius and Panevežys and the headquarters of Vaasan & Vaasan Oy, a parent company of Vilniaus Duona, in Finland.
According to Saulius Markūnas, director of Baltic Data Center, the contract signed with Vilniaus Duona is an important recognition of the competence of the company's specialists. "The selection of the proposed technical solution was also determined by the successfully utilized joint capabilities of Baltic Data Center and TEO", - he said.
As stated by Päivi Wallenius, IT Director at Vilniaus Duona, the cooperation with Baltic Data Center will allow to ensure high-quality and continuous operations of the company's systems and this, in turn, will enable us to concentrate to develop our core business and provide the high-quality services to the company's customers.
In 2008, Baltic Data Center completed reorganization of Vilniaus Duona's IT infrastructure and its integration into the common information system of Vaasan & Vaasan, a leader on the bread markets in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Specialists of the company belonging to TEO Group installed and configured Vilniaus Duona's servers, designed the company's internal information systems, provided digital workplaces services
