Australian mail company Australia Post has signed a three-year agreement with mobile carrier Telstra to bolster its digital infrastructure across the company's 4,000 locations nationwide.

The agreement announced this week will see Telstra provide advanced connectivity solutions across Australia Post's post offices, delivery centers, data centers, and corporate sites.

Australia Post is a government-owned corporation that provides postal services throughout Australia.

The deal will see Telstra provide Australia Post with access to its Adaptive Networks Center, a centralized platform designed to give business and enterprise customers more control over their network.

In total, around 300 locations will be upgraded to fiber-to-the-premises connectivity, while some additional regional sites will transition to Telstra satellite Internet over the next 12 months.

Australia Post previously signed an agreement with Telstra to deploy satellite connectivity to more than 270 Australia Post locations using Starlink’s low-Earth orbit satellites.

According to the company, its latest agreement with Telstra will enable it to "better understand and manage connectivity across its network, supporting the delivery of services across thousands of sites nationwide."
