Atos has signed to provide the Special Olympics Games with IT services until 2027.

Atos will handle the development and maintenance of the non-profit sports organization's Games Management System, including software maintenance, IT security services and innovations; infrastructure services and security including access management; and events support for the next three years of the Special Olympics Games.

The Special Olympics promotes inclusion and acceptance for people with and without intellectual disabilities through sporting activities.

Atos has worked with the Olympics and Paralympics since 2008 as a "Worldwide IT Partner" and is the Official Technology and Digital Services Partner of the European Olympic Committee for the 2023 and 2027 European Games.

In August 2023, Atos announced that it would be selling off its loss-making legacy consulting business Tech Foundations Co (TFCo) TFCo is set to be bought for €2 billion ($2.2bn) by EP Equity Investment (EPEI).
