The China-based company will provide the application development platform for the project, which has been submitted for approval by the Shanghai government. More details should be released about the project in 2011.
Fujitsu launches new cloud monitoring tool
Fujitsu in Japan has launched a software package for managing network monitoring cloud services for the local market. Proactnes II SM V01 measures communications and data volumes of networks found inside large-scale data centers connecting users to the cloud.
Facebook founder visits China
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has visited Baidu, the nation's largest website, sparking further rumours Facebook could be looking to consolidate in China. Facebook has been losing out on the Chinese market, where local social media sites thrive, due to government restrictions on the site but analysts have suggested Zuckerberg is interested in opportunities in the market there.
