Several major Apple services are down in a widespread outage.

Among the systems experiencing issues are Apple Music, Apple Maps, iCloud, iCloud Calendar, iCloud Contacts, iCloud Mail, iCloud Private Relay, iTunes Store, Radio, Podcasts, the App Store, iMessage, and Apple TV+.

On its system status page, the company confirmed the outages, but did not provide a reason for the issues.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that Apple’s corporate and retail systems are down, and users are reporting that they cannot access Apple’s business manager portal.

Third party apps that make use of iCloud or other Apple services are also experiencing issues.

Apple operates its own data center infrastructure, and is Google Cloud's largest single storage customer. In 2019, it was revealed that it will spend at least $1.5 billion on AWS over five years.

Update: Services have returned after a multi-hour outage. The company did not disclose what happened, but the issue is believed to be related to DNS.
