Aperture, the leading global provider of software for managing the physical infrastructure of data centers, has announced that after careful consideration, Aperture's board of directors has agreed in principle to Emerson's offer to acquire 100% of Aperture's share capital. The acquisition will become final once all Aperture shareholders have agreed to its terms.
The financial terms of the agreement will not be disclosed.
Emerson is a diversified global technology company that provides a wide range of products and services for a broad variety of industries and markets. Emerson has approximately 140,000 employees and 265 manufacturing locations worldwide. Its 2007 revenue was $22.6 billion.
Aperture will become a division of Emerson Network Power, an Emerson business platform with annual revenues of approximately $5.2 billion. It is the world leader in delivering flexible, efficient and ultra-reliable solutions that support business-critical technology systems. The company's Liebert-branded power, cooling and monitoring products and services are among the most trusted technologies for critical datacenter applications. The addition of Aperture to Emerson Network Power's portfolio will complement and enhance Emerson's Liebert product line.
