The Alabama-based civil engineering firm Construction Partners will build a “data processing center” as well as its new corporate headquarters in the city of Dothan.

Details about the data center are sparse, but the project’s $20 million price tag implies that the facility will likely be small and tailored for the company's own business.

The headquarters will create more than 60 jobs and “consolidate executive leadership, administrative functions and advanced technology operations,” according to the Alabama Department of Commerce’s announcement last Thursday.

The new headquarters also serves as “a strategic commitment to centralizing the company’s data processing capabilities for operations spanning eight Sunbelt states.”

These include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Founded in 2001, Construction Partners is an "asphalt-centered infrastructure company" with experience in building highways, interstate roads, airports, and a variety of commercial and industrial sites.
