aCure Technology Pty Ltd (aCure), providers of carrier neutral co-location and data center services have opened their new data center in the Perth CBD, it has been announced. The new 140-square-metre facility is extremely well positioned in the city centre right in the hub of all major fibre providers.
The new self-funded facility is located in the secure basement of the Reserve Bank Building at 45 St Georges Terrace. The aCure Center is a purpose built, but affordable and secure facility. Standard services such as independent n+1 UPS systems and diesel generators protect the centre. Using non-ozone depleting n+1 Air Conditioning and offering flexible, unlimited 24x7x365 swipe card access while being continuously monitored and recorded by real-time video security, the center caters for all hosting and co-location requirements.
The new facility offers solutions for single and multiple racks in a secure open rack area or dedicated caged areas if required. aCure can arrange all connectivity, interconnectivity and IP requirements as well as having a partnership with another data center for DR and Business Continuity services.
Commenting on aCure's expansion, Grant Farrow, aCure's Sales and Marketing Manager says: "aCure's expansion is great news for the Perth market as there has been a shortage of good quality, accessible but secure co-location facilities on the fibre network backbones. Building our own data center was a natural progression to expand our metromesh CBD wide WiFi network. This requires hosting space for our core network equipment that has flexible 24x7 access. It makes sense that we extend these services and enable our partners and customers to leverage from it.
aCure remain confident of continued success and expansion as they move into their 5th year of operation in 2007.
