New England-region data center provider Access Northeast has added 10,000 sq ft of raised floor at its Marlborough, Massachusetts, data center. The facility's total capacity is now about 25,000 sq ft.
The company also announced that it had closed a lease for an additional 40,000 sq ft of space. Access Northeast CEO Rob Stephenson said both newly finished data center space and the new lease would give the company room to grow its colocation business as well as its Parthenon Cloud platform.
"The combination of these strategic initiatives positions Access Northeast to continue our ascent as the leading New England provider of data center, cloud and managed services for the enterprise," he said.
Partheon Cloud is an Infrastructure-as-a-Service offering which includes both a private-cloud product and a hybrid one.
The Marlborough site has more than 200,000 sq ft of space total. Power densities on the facility's raised floor can be higher than 150 watts per 1 sq ft.
Access Northeast's other data centers are in Waterbury, Connecticut, and Worcester, Massachusetts.
In Waterbury, the company has 5,000 sq ft of space live, with room to grow up to about 25,000 sq ft. Its Worcester site is 50,000 sq ft total, with 3,000 sq ft currently online.
