Work has begun on a new data center in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas.

EG AI Corp, a Dallas-based AI infrastructure company, announced this week the groundbreaking of a 5,000-square-meter (53,820 sq ft) single-tenant, immersion-cooled GPU data center in Dallas.

The 2.5MW facility is slated for completion in 2027.

The company said the immersion-cooled facility is designed to deliver dedicated AI compute capacity for mid-market enterprises, healthcare organizations, financial services firms, and other regulated industries that require full data sovereignty and high-density GPU performance.

"The mid-market has been structurally excluded from the infrastructure buildout happening in DFW. Hyperscalers are building for hyperscale — the minimums are too large, the architecture is shared, and the compliance posture doesn't hold for regulated industries. We built EG AI Corp to close that gap. Single-tenant, immersion-cooled, built specifically for the operator that needs dedicated infrastructure and cannot compromise on data sovereignty,” said EG AI CEO Dennis Finster.

Full details haven’t been shared, but a community presentation suggests the firm is building a facility in Rice, a city in Navarro County, some 44 miles south of Dallas. The company’s website suggests the site is a warehouse conversion project.

The company is also reportedly developing EG GPT, a US-hosted large language model built for enterprises with full HIPAA, CCPA, and SOC 2 compliance. It also says it is working on EG Voice, an AI-powered voice assistant. The company is working with Swiss software firm Be Brave on the software side.

EG AI CEO Finster was previously at German music software firm Listify and ran a cryptomining operation in Switzerland. COO Danny Cruz is CEO of DACP Construction, which focuses on concrete pouring on data center and Bitcoin projects.
