A data center campus is being proposed in Monroe County, Georgia.
13WMAZ News reports Data Core Innovations wants to build on a more than 900-acre campus off of Rumble Road at I-75.
The $1.2 billion proposed project is known as the Rumble Technology Campus.
Developer David Aldridge says the campus will host up to 12 buildings totaling 4.2 million sq ft (390,190 sqm).
According to Mymcr.net, Aldridge has applied to have the northern 525 of the 948 acres rezoned from agriculture to commercial.
The greenfield site is located between Forsyth and Macon, around 70 miles south of Atlanta.
No end customer for the site has been named.
Little information on Data Core Innovations is available online. Aldridge is also CEO of venture capital and private equity firm Five Star Capital Investments and Capital Land Group.
