Over 700 data center and cloud professionals will converge on the Hotel Mulia in Jakarta on June 19th for the seventh annual DCD>Jakarta conference. The event is a key date for Indonesian businesses that rely on digital infrastructure or which provide services to it. In recent years, the event has also started to attract more international speakers and delegates as the region continues a very high growth phase.
Indonesia’s reliance on digital infrastructure is growing; based on a burgeoning middle class, and the continued transition into a service-focused economy. Transformation and adoption is being enabled by factors such as tech innovation and the availability of global-class outsourcing and cloud services. As part of this, Chinese and US cloud giants are expanding their presence in Indonesia, as evidenced by the recent updates from Google and Amazon Web Services.
These conditions have also given rise to an exciting startup scene - particularly GoJek, founded in 2010, who have successfully leveraged the cloud to support their growth in Indonesia and are now expanding throughout South East Asia, and are now a major player. I am pleased to announce that their Head of IT Infrastructure, Ananto Widhi Nugroho will be a keynote speaker at this year’s event, sharing key learnings from the company's IT infrastructure transformation journey.
From here we see an escalating need for the right digital infrastructure to store, process and share the data behind the new economy. DCD>Jakarta will explore and examine this growth, but most importantly will look at what it will lead to next. In particular our speakers will explore how risk strategies, skills and business vision will drive the requirements and deployment of all forms of data center and cloud.
We have a jam-packed agenda featuring over 30 top level speakers, sharing their insights across four conference themes. You can preview some of the not-to-be-missed sessions below!
The above highlights are only a small proportion of what will be covered on the day, with Keynote presentations, Panel debates, Hosted roundtables, VIP Lunches, Innovation talks and other engaging formats, such as the always exciting Speed networking! This year’s event will also bring together over 30 leading technology vendors, including: Schneider Electric, Huawei, Corning, and Caterpillar to showcase the latest technologies and innovations available in the market.
