José Luis is the Managing Director International & Chief Growth Officer of DatacenterDynamics. He has been in the company for 16 years and has a proven track record in the events and B2B media industry. Expert in the Data Center and Cloud infrastructure industry. Co-founder of The Game Changers Lab. Founder and member of the Board of Directors of SPAINDC (Spanish Data Center Association). Founder and General Secretary of MEXDC (Mexican Data Center Association).

He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Almeria and the University of Viadrina in Frankfurt Oder, Germany. He is also a Senior Technician in Foreign Trade by IMAFE. He began his professional career in the sales departments of different financial and insurance companies and later became sales director.

Expert in business development and strategy, sales, marketing and team management, specialized in the Data Center industry, digital transformation and Cloud.

He is a regular speaker at Data Center and Cloud events. He collaborates regularly with different specialized media and is an influential person in the Data Center and Cloud industry in Spain and Latin America.

Sherif Rizkalla currently serves as Managing Director of Enterprise Colocation for STACK EMEA and President of IDA, Italy's first non-profit association uniting data center manufacturers and operators. From 2022 to 2024, Sherif was CEO of STACK Infrastructure Italy and Switzerland.

Sherif was appointed CEO of Supernap Italia in 2019, following a successful tenure as Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Enterprise Business Unit at Du, the UAE's leading mobile and fixed telephone operator. In this role, he drove the growth of Du's telecom and ICT business within the UAE enterprise market, expanding both market share and service offerings.

Before his time at Du, Sherif was Marketing Director for the B2B market at Wind Tre SpA, following the merger of Wind Telecomunicazioni and H3G Italy. Joining Wind in 2009, he held several senior leadership roles, including Procurement Director, Marketing Director for the Large Enterprise sector, and Head of Sales and Marketing for the Large Enterprise Business.

Earlier in his career, Sherif spent 12 years at Alcatel-Lucent, where he held various roles in sales, marketing, and solution architecture across Italy and the Middle East. He also gained significant international experience in France, where he led the Broadband Division's Client Projects, and in the United States, where he began his career as a network engineer.

With deep expertise in enterprise business and telecommunication networks, Sherif has a particular focus on broadband internet access technologies. His extensive experience spans leadership roles across multiple regions, industries, and disciplines, making him a seasoned executive in the data center and telecommunications sectors. Sherif studied Computer Engineering at George Mason University in the United States. He also holds a master’s degree from George Mason in Data and Mobile Communications Networks Analysis and Design.
