In partnership with Schneider Electric, DCD are delighted to announce the DCD>Connect New York event will be carbon-offset. 

We will be planting enough trees in the Schneider Electric Forest to fully offset circa 200t of CO2 emissions at the Connect event. This is executed through Tree-Nation, an official United Nations Environment Programme Partner.

The Schneider Electric Forest project has so far planted 20,562 trees across 20.74 hectares, offsetting 2,833.94 tonnes to date. DCD COO Dan Loosemore said 'we appreciate this partnership with Schneider Electric to help reduce our climate impact. Deforestation is responsible for roughly 17% of all climate change emissions and working in the data center industry and running global events, we must do our part in decreasing the impact.'

DCD appreciates that offsetting is just one of the tools at our disposal as a business and we look forward to announcing further initiatives in due course. We are extremely grateful to Schneider for their outstanding support. 

In partnership with Schneider Electric, DCD are hosting a charity raffle at DCD>Connect New York calling for donations to help support the NGOs on the ground in Türkiye and Syria following the devastating and tragic earthquakes last month that have claimed thousands of lives and disrupted millions more.

TheSchneider Electric Foundation is accepting donations now from all attendees and there will be a raffle over the 2 day event. Proceeds will help ensure better mobilized supplies and services to support the urgent needs of those affected. They will also help ensure access to clean water and nutrition for those displaced.

We are sure all those involved will give generously to this important work.
