Case Study: Building up to expand out - is height the solution to scale and speed?
As real estate in Northern Virginia becomes increasingly scarce and costly, QTS and the design team made a bold decision with their Project Joshua to build upward in order to get more critical space and capacity out of each acre of real estate available. As the first 3-story data center constructed in Ashburn, the facility encompasses 400,000 square feet, with 32 megawatts of total capacity across 12 column-free data halls, delivered in just 10 months.
