Uptime Institute’s 2022 Capacity Trends Survey reveals that capacities continue to grow, but operators are more aware of the related costs and are acting to increase densities and reduce power consumption. Enterprises are adopting a hybrid approach of both on-and-off premises venues to address capacity needs, although some applications that moved to public cloud are returning to owned facilities. Migrations are taking place due to high cloud costs and occasional capacity constraints.
