Fireside Chat: Energy Storage - Where is the Innovation Cycle Headed?
Data centers require large amounts of power to operate and are ideally suited to use microgrid technology to cut costs and improve efficiency. One significant challenge in implementing a power strategy is to be able to perform model-validated real-time diagnostics of the entire electrical system. One of the great promises of the emerging microgrid opportunity is to use the cost of energy storage as an asset and market participant. So has energy storage tech developed sufficiently to enable the data center as a VPP (Virtual Power Plant), or is there just a mindset issue?
Join a select group of Thought Leaders investigating how to deliver ROI from energy storage as an asset, covering LiON vs Lead, the future of fuel cells, BYEs, NECs, the data center's current need for absolute standby power, and the implementation of grid-forming but non-standby power.
