Cooling colocation: what have we learnt so far?

In the age of the digital enterprise, it is the colocation provider’s responsibility to ensure its tenants computer hardware is maintained at an efficient targeted temperature to avoid overheating and performance failure. As new generations of technology prompt the adoption of faster processors and denser racks, providers must devise an innovative approach to battle the heat emitted from the 400 watt CPU. Professor Agonafer will outline a variety of systematic methodologies for efficiently operating electronic systems and showcase how the redevelopment of data center cooling design issues can aid in decreasing a provider’s carbon footprint and simultaneously generating millions of dollars in energy efficiency savings.
