Opening Keynote: Building at scale - increasing supply chain resiliency to meet global challenges
The first pandemic to hit the globe in over ten decades emerged in Q1, 2020, changing the landscape for physical interaction and dispersing workplaces to far-flung homes rather than centralized hubs of productivity. In the world of critical infrastructure construction, the wheels have stopped turning in many instances given the inability to implement social distancing among labor and the difficulties attached to the sourcing of vital components and build materials.
However, with a great deal of surplus capacity on offer to feed demand, the benefit of new hardware coupled with skilled design ensures operators can make the best of every square foot as expansion and new-builds grind to a temporary halt. Brent will speak on the importance of best-of-breed design and delivery, DRT’s approach to suring up the supply chain for each of the company’s 225 facilities and tackling the challenges of building at scale during a pandemic.
