Energy Impact Award
This category is open to any type of data center project or technological innovation where the primary goal has been the reduction of energy consumption and/or carbon usage. Entries can include projects that have reduced energy usage through operational efficiency and technological innovation, sustainable infrastructure projects that reduce usage and conserve energy, or even wider energy ecosystem partnerships such as microgrid participation or heat re-use projects. It is NOT restricted to greenfield design-build projects.
The project/initiative must have been completed between 1st September 2022 and 1st September 2023.
The judging panel will be looking to shortlist projects that are able to demonstrate with evidence-based, industry-recognized metrics and analysis, the impact of the project or initiative on energy reduction, conservation and/or overall carbon footprint improvement as a result of the project.
