UK bespoke fiber network company Geo Networks has signed up to be part of Interxion’s Content Hub, an environment set up for the digital communities of Europe.

Geo currently works with company’s including bet365 and toptable.com and offers access to 3,000km of cable running throughout the UK, with fiber connectivity running through the sewers of London, which allows it to offer 99.9999% reliability due to the elimination of metal in the infrastructure.

It provides dark fiber and managed wavelengths and is currently constructing a new low-latency subsea cable with ESB Technologies from the UK to Dublin in an effort to capitalise on the data center growth in the country.

Geo Networks online sector head Andy Tipping said by joining Interxion’s Content Hub through its Interxion’s City of London Data Centre Geo can now offer connectivity to the Interxion community as well as continue offering bespoke solutions to the digital marketplace for business critical applications.

Interxion’s Content Hubs can connect digital media businesses in 11 countries throughout Europe through data centers in its most densely populated cities, Interxion UK managing director Greg McCulloch said.

“Our hubs or communities of interest are about developing a virtual marketplace where likeminded business can benefit from mutually beneficially relationships,” McCulloch said.

The content hubs are set up for content aggregation, exchange, storage, management and distribution.
