Provider of data center services Cologix launched its second data center in the Dallas Infomart, a major Dallas-Fort Worth carrier hotel and data center hub.

The new data center has 12,000sq ft of space, holding about 300 cabinets. The space has 3.2 MW of power available, sourced from three different substations.

Cologix is offering direct interconnection among its own customers and carriers as well as other tenants in the building.

“The continued rapid adoption of the cloud by all customer segments is dramatically elevating traffic and network performance requirements, which continues to heighten the value of colocation and interconnection options in the downtown Infomart,” Cologix CEO Grant van Rooyen said. “Cologix is focused on providing our customers network-neutral access to broad connectivity options, represented today in this new Dallas inventory.”

The new Dallas facility is Cologix’ 12th North American data center. Its other locations include carrier hotel locations in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Minneapolis and Dallas.
